Computer Lab rules at Naperville Public Library

Rules and Procedures:

A patron may not permit others to use his/her barcode and PIN to access the internet.
Library card with Internet sticker must be displayed by all patrons while at the terminal during Internet computer use.
Children under the age of 8 must have a parent/guardian present at all times while using the Internet.
No more than 2 individuals may use a computer at one time. When 2 individuals are using a computer together, the filtering level of the patron who has not signed on is not monitored by staff. Both individuals must display library cards with internet sticker.
No smoking, food, or uncovered beverages are allowed in the computer lab.
Any personal software requiring a reboot of the computer to install cannot be used on any Library computer. Installation, configuration, and use of personal, licensed software is the user’s responsibility.
As a courtesy to others, when using a Cell phone in the computer lab, please:
- Set the ringer to silent mode
- Speak quietly
