Summary: Hilarious! A twenty-something picks up, moves to New York, and spends tens of thousands of dollars. She quickly goes broke but has a very ingenious way to pay off her debt. This true story is very entertaining!


Title: Storm Front
Author: Butcher, Jim
Summary: Even though The Dresden Files is now a mini-series on the Sci-Fi channel, the origins of the stories are more vividly described and characterized in the novels. Start with Storm Front and you'll be surprised how much more detail there is in the storylines! You'll also discover how much more powerful, and vulnerable, Harry Dresden really is.


Title: Skeleton Crew
Author: Connor, Beverly
Summary: I have just discovered Beverly Conner. Skeleton Crew is the fourth in the Lindsay Chamberlain series, which starts with A Rumor of Bones. Mystery, history, romance, and more make her books too good to put down. Interested in archeology? Read her books and be pleasantly surprised.

Author: Elphinstone, Margaret
Summary: An insightful, interesting, and heartening story which focuses on two women, sisters-in-law, who live with their children in a lighthouse during the turn of the century, and on the verge of technological and personal changes.


Title: In the Frame
Author: Francis, Dick
Summary: All of Dick Francis books about jockeys or horse racing are action packed and suspenseful. This book is about an artist who paints pictures of horses. The artists inadvertently becomes mixed up in a murderous art theft plot. The story kept me white knuckled with apprehension.


Title: The Scent of Lilacs
Author: Gabhart, Ann
Summary: This gentle story reminds the reader of a simpler life. Abate, even simple lives have their secrets and their heartaches. An enjoyable read.


Title: Into the Wild
Author: Krakauer, Jon
Summary: This interesting, true story tells of a young man who went into the Alaska wilderness unprepared. Krakauer recreates what happened with interviews of some of the last people who saw Chris McCandless.


Title: The Devil in the White City: Murder, magic, and madness at the fair that changed America
Author: Larson, Erik
Summary: Larson has written an absolutely fascinating and true story of the Chicago World's Fair of 1893 as well as the grisly murders that were taking place at the same time. If you like Chicago history, you'll love this book.


Title: Succubus Blues
Author: Mead, Richelle
Summary: Georgina is a succubus with a crush on a shy writer…and with an interested suitor who has his own secrets. When other supernatural beings (mainly devils and angels) begin to be murdered, Georgina finds that she has to find out who the murder is. Not the safest thing to do!


Title: Empire of Blue Water: Captain Morgan's great pirate army, the epic battle for the Americas, and the catastrophe that ended the outlaws'' bloody reign
Author: Talty, Stephan
Summary: Want to find out what real pirates were truly like? Talty has written a well researched nonfiction book that is very exciting. You can learn a lot about Captain Morgan, pirates, Jamaica, the age of piracy, and an interesting history of the new world. Drink it up me 'earty's, Yo Ho!
