Title: It’s All Too Much: An easy plan for living a richer life with less stuff
Author: Walsh, Peter
Summary: When I think about organizing my house, I become very overwhelmed. The strategies in this book helped to make it easier to throw or give away objects with which I was too emotionally involved. The author shows that we choose to keep objects because of emotional attachments, and in doing so crowd our lives so that we can not live the best lives that we want and deserve for ourselves. This book is great in helping to get beyond the clutter in our lives.

Summary: Fairbanks provides another delightful entry in her “Culinary Mystery with Recipes” series. In this one, Carolyn happily traipses around Sorrento, Pompeii, and Naples all while eating well, sharing yummy recipes, and solving another murder.

Summary: Esquith is an award-winning teach of inner city children, and he makes you excited about teaching. The suggestions he gives are extremely practical and useful.

Summary: Baby Proof is easily Giffin’s best book. It ends happily, but with a touch of realism. As a Naperville native, and a graduate of Naperville North, Giffin also throws a number of fun Naperville references into all her writing.

Shreve provides marvelous insight into the feelings and fears of the wife while showing how the husband’s upbringing influences the situation.

Summary: In The Saffron Kitchen, an Iranian woman has to leaven her home. After moving to London, she marries and has a daughter. However, her past haunts and tugs at her until she confronts it. A wonderful story that doesn’t wimp out in the end!


Title: Safely Home
Author: Alcorn, Randy
Summary: Although this is a work of fiction, Alcorn teaches the reader a lot about the persecuted church in China. An enjoyable yet thought provoking book. Holton, Hugh. Windy City, 1995 Mystery and home! As I read, I could picture each neighborhood and downtown. The police officers were an ethnic and racial mix, giving the reader a chance to see the real Chicago!
