- Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Genealogical Branch Library

  Features Family Search, a CD-ROM database of genealogical records held by the mother church in Salt Lake City, Loan services available.
- Wheaton Public Library
  Specializes in genealogy, and maintains the largest collection of genealogical materials in a DuPage public library. This library also maintains the Family Search database.
Regional
- NARA's (National Archives and Records Administration) Great Lake Region
  Maintains retired records from Federal agencies and courts in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
- Newberry Library- Genealogy
  The Newberry Library has over 17,000 genealogies. The collection is especially noteworthy for its coverage of colonial America, particularly New England, and also includes many rare titles covering gentry and noble families of the British Isles.

Administers the Illinois Regional Archives Depositories (IRAD) to manage the archival records of local governments. The Archives also administer state and federal governmental records including Censuses, Military Service Records, World War I Draft Registration Records, Veterans' Homes, Pensions, and Burials, Vital Records, and Land Sale Records.
