Did someone get you that shiny new tablet or e-reader for the holidays?  Hooray for you!  Overwhelmed with gratitude and the plethora of options now available to you?  Of course you are!  But don't be intimidated.  We've got you covered.  If you're a Naperville Public Library cardholder, access our downloadable catalog and get started downloading for FREE today!

Just pick from these easy options:

  • Teach yourself with our step-by-step instructions, available on our Web site from the "eHelp" tab in the top menu.  These walk you through downloading procedures for e-books and e-audiobooks to Kindle, Nook, iPad and Android devices.  Nook GirlYou can also stop by any Adult Services desk for paper copies of these - plus free advice.
  • Get some in-person instruction at one of our downloading workshops.  Bring your device (plus Amazon account information if you have a Kindle) and learn with the class.  Upcoming classes for Kindle Fire, iPad and Android tablet are being held Saturday, January 4 at 95th Street and Tuesday, January 7 at Nichols.  (All attendees must register in advance with a Naperville Public Library card).
  • Get some individual attention with a one-on-one consultation.  Just call (630) 961-4100 to make an appointment at the time and location of your choice.  We welcome reciprocal borrowers for individual advice, but remember that you'll have to go to your home library for e-books.

So quit ogling your e-reader at home and bring it into the Library.  We are happy to help!
