New backpacks, lunch sacks, and school supplies are on their way to school with someone in a new outfit and shoes.  But to really get our kids ready for school, let's read some back to school books to ease anxiety, calm the worries, and maybe put a smile on the  student with that new haircut.  Here are a few to choose:

Ollie's School Day: A Yes and No Book - by Stephanie Calmenson

This book asks the reader some questions while Ollie gets ready and goes to school.

Marco Goes to School - by Roz Chast

Marco the bird is eager to start school because he wants to learn how to reach the moon.

There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Books! - by Lucille Colandro

Why did she do that?

Foxy - by Emma Dodd

Ready and Waiting for You -  by Judi Moreillon

You're Wearing That to School ? - by Lynn Plourde

Books can help with preparation and support, and is a great way to start a new school year.
