May is Naperville’s sixth annual Community Heritage Month. All month long, the City of Naperville and its partners hNapervilleave planned programs and events to honor the city’s history and traditions. The Naperville Public Library is participating with the “So, You Think You Know Naperville?” Challenge. Come test your knowledge of our community’s history for a chance to win a prize! The quiz is open to teens in grades 6-12 and adults. Current cardholders can pick up a quiz at any NPL location.

While here, why not read up on Naperville’s culture and history? The Children’s and Adult/Teen Services Departments currently have displays featuring materials about Naperville available for check out. Some titles include Downtown Naperville (Images of America series); Is it Eden? Is it Camelot? Is it Paradise? Better Yet…it’s Naperville; Naperville: Reflections of Community; and numerous others. We also offer DVDs on Naperville, including Community Building on the Great Frontier: The Story of Joseph Naper and the Founding of Naperville and Downtown Naperville: Heart of a Community.
