Summer is just around the corner, and we have some wonderful opportunities for children in 1st grade to 12th grade. Read2Together is a special program where students entering 1st grade through 5th grade are paired up with a volunteer between 6th grade to 12th grade for a 1-hour reading shift, offered three times a week. Volunteers from 6th grade to 12th grade will team up with the younger children for this program. This is a very exciting and special reading experience that you share with an teen volunteer, taking turns reading a book aloud. You are allowed to bring your favorite books from home or you could choose from books at the library. The reading group can vary in size depending on the number of volunteers or participants that attend each session. This is a fun experience to improve reading skills and make friends at the same time!

Here are some suggestions of transitional chapter books that you can find at the library.  Have fun with your reading!
