Have you ever wondered about the past and future of the universe? You too could study it! It's called cosmology, and it has become a precision science in the last two decades. But this precision has revealed an amazing lack in our knowledge of the building blocks of the universe, 95% of which are a complete mystery. In order to have this discussion we need to describe the scientific method and apply it to the Big Bang model and the age of the Earth.
