Taking Care of Business
If one of these thoughts has passed through your mind recently, then your next question should be: where can I get accurate, unbiased guidance to be sure I am making the right choices and considering all the necessary issues before taking the big step of starting my own business? The answer to that question just might be Naperville Public Library.
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) suggests 10 steps for starting up a new business. Three of the first four steps mentioned in this SBA article focus on developing a business plan, getting assistance and training, and understanding financial management of your business. These very first steps, joined with some dynamic marketing ideas constitute the content of four workshops being offered at the Naperville Public Library, May 13-16, 2013. The workshops are being held in conjunction with the SBA’s annual Small Business Week, which is a country-wide celebration of the startup and growth of small businesses in America. The free workshops require no advanced registration and will be held at the Nichols Library in downtown Naperville. For more information, click on the workshops link, and check out details on dates, times and topics.
Recently started businesses or entrepreneurs just thinking about a startup will benefit from the workshops. The library’s website also provides connection links to business development information on its small business resources page. Check it out!
