What's more fun than a barrel of monkeys? DOGS at the LIBRARY!

Therapy dogs, with their owners, will visit our Library five more times this summer for our BARK FOR BOOKS program, including June 22 at Naper Blvd. Library.

Our all-volunteer therapy dog teams, from local organizations, help kids feel more comforable by giving them the opportunity to read aloud to a dog, improving their reading skills in a non-judgmental, supportive environment.

Daphne and Tico
Dogs give unconditional love and acceptance and have calming effects on children. Dogs make reading fun, without worry about poor pronunciation or slow reading speed. The human-animal bond is very powerful.

Our Summer BARK FOR BOOKS SCHEDULE (All Saturdays, 11:30am-12:30pm, no registration):  June 22, Naper Blvd Library; June 29, Nichols Library; July 13, 95th St. Library; July 20, Naper Blvd Library; and July 27, Nichols Library.

We "woof" love to see you at BARK FOR BOOKS!
