Learn to communicate with babies using sign language. This three-week program will provide a fun environment for babies and their caregivers to learn the basics of sign language. Each week, a new theme will be introduced using stimulating activities, books, songs and play. For children ages 8 to 23 months old. Program requires advance registration for each date and is limited to 12 babies per program.

It's grilling season! This presentation will teach the basics of grilling, the pros and cons of charcoal and gas grills as well as the first steps to cooking. Grillers also will learn recipes as well as tips and tricks for a great grilling season.

Participants will roll along with stories, songs and activities in this rollicking event featuring bicycles of all types. Bike safety tips and a craft will round out the program.

NOTE: location changed to: NSL Meeting Room CAllison Cychosz of AMC Legal will discuss the different ways in which a business can be organized as well as the pros and cons of doing business as a sole proprietorship, partnership and the various forms of incorporation. Additionally, the reporting requirements of each will be compared - most importantly, the limits of liability each form provides and how a business owner might lose the corporate veil by not taking the proper actions.

Relax and refresh by coloring while enjoying a cup of tea, listening to music and chatting with other adults trying to decompress. Use printed designs and various coloring media that will be provided by the library. Adults can bring their own coloring book and supplies.

Mark Quigley, CEO of Deziner Software, and business librarian Kent Palmer will present the various steps to write a business plan, including the resources available at the library as they relate to each section of a business plan. Participants will learn how to use available software to prepare an excellent plan to manage a business that can also be presented to venture capitalists or bankers for funding requests.
