Celebrate National Poetry Month with the library's Sixth Annual Teen Poetry Contest. The contest's three divisions are: 6th grade, 7th and 8th grades and high school. The contest will begin April 1, and the deadline for entries is 9 p.m. April 30. Winners will be announced mid-May, and the winning poems will be posted online. Prizes from area bookstores will be awarded. Pick up an entry form at any Naperville Public Library location or enter online at www.naperville-lib.org/teens/teenpoetrycontest2016. Star Wars - The Force Awakens (PG-13 )
Movie lovers can visit the library each month for a screening of a newly released DVD. Skip the long lines at the theater as well as the long hold lists at the library and see a movie with other like-minded film buffs. Check the library's website, naperville-lib.org, for upcoming titles. No one younger than age 18 will be admitted to an R-rated movie without a parent or guardian.

Janitor's Boy by Andrew Clements
Visit the library for a child-and-parent book discussion group. The child and parent/adult will read the selected book together and then attend the club's meeting to discuss it with others while enjoying a cookie or two. Each book will be chosen at the preceding meeting and listed on the library's website, www.naperville-lib.org. The library will have multiple copies of each title available for checkout.
For children in 3rd through 5th grades. Program is limited to 15 child/parent pairs. *Advanced registration is required for 95th Street library.

This season's pay-it-forward community project is knit, crocheted or fleece-tied mats for shelter dogs and cats. Mats will go to Naperville Area Humane Society and ADOPT Pet Shelter and may accompany pets to their adoptive homes.
Participants should bring their choice of machine washable supplies, and the library will supply patterns. Participants may also bring their own projects to work on with fellow crafters. All skill levels may attend and experienced crafters are welcome to share their expertise and work with staff to help beginners.

Learn how to design a three-dimensional object using Tinkercad as well as the process of printing it using the library's 3-D printer. For 3rd to 5th grades. Program requires advanced registration with a fee and is limited to 12 participants.

The computer and technology classes have a non-refundable, non-transferable attendance fee for each class that must be paid at the time of registration. Classes are appropriate for adults and students in 8th grade or older and are limited to 12 participants. Registrations for these classes are taken at the computer lab desks.
The fee for these classes is:
Naperville Public Library card holders: $10
Non-Naperville Public Library card holders: $20
Participants can transfer to another class with one week's advance notice. If individuals cannot attend a class for any reason, they should inform the computer lab staff so the spot may be available to an individual on the waiting list.

Learn to communicate with babies using sign language. This three-week program will provide a fun environment for babies and their caregivers to learn the basics of sign language. Each week, a new theme will be introduced using stimulating activities, books, songs and play. For children ages 8 to 23 months old. Program requires advance registration for each date and is limited to 12 babies per program.
