Teen Reality Fair (95th)

The Reality Fair is presented by volunteers from the Credit Union League of Illinois. Teens will learn basic financial literacy and money management skills, such as opening a banking account, interviewing for a job, receiving paychecks, buying necessities, etc. The Fair kicks off with a pizza lunch for participants.

Celebrate a special birthday with us. Beloved "picture writer" Eric Carle will be 84 this month. Our party will feature stories, games and crafts. We've invited 44-year-old The Very Hungry Caterpillar and his friends: horse, chameleon, cricket, seahorse and the moon!

ATTENTION! Students entering 1st - 5th grade, do you want to spend time reading aloud with an older student? This non-tutoring program is intended to provide students with an opportunity to spend some enjoyable time reading aloud with a student volunteer. Come to the library at one of the times listed below. You will be paired with a volunteer entering 6th - 12th grade and will spend the one-hour session taking turns reading aloud. Depending on attendance, you may be placed in a group. Those arriving more than 10 minutes late cannot be guaranteed placement with a partner. Please note: It is expected that all participants will be independent readers. You may bring your own book or select one at the library.
