Students entering 1st through 5th grades can spend time reading aloud with an older student. This non-tutoring program is intended to provide students an opportunity to spend enjoyable time reading aloud with a student volunteer. Students will be paired with a volunteer entering 6th through 12th grades and spend the one-hour session taking turns reading aloud. Depending on attendance, participants may be placed in a group.

Celebrate Fourth of July with a star-spangled party where kids can listen to a patriotic story, create a celebratory craft, participate in a library parade and finish the fun with explosive science experiments in the name of America!

Family storytime (NSL)

This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun activities is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies also will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany children.
