Make it! Take it! (95th)

Preschoolers and their caregivers can enjoy this fun program of stories and crafts. The activities will be geared toward 3- and 4-year-olds, but 5-year-olds are welcome to attend. Younger siblings may accompany the older child as coloring sheets will be available for them. At least one adult caregiver must attend with the child. This program is limited to 20 children making crafts.

Teen Ignite: Bringing Them to Life Comic Book Creation (95th)

Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 6:00 PM -- 95th Street Library
Join Yorli Huff, comic book creator, for a workshop on creating comic book characters or superheroes and guiding them through the phases of comic book creation. Character development, which includes identifying what characters will look like, powers they will have and weapons they might need will be discussed. Story lines will be developed and then sketching and drawing out characters will follow. *Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 30 teen participants.

Family Storytime (95th)

This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun activities is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home.  At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany their children. Due to renovations, there will be no Family Storytime in September at Nichols Library.

Tales for 2s & 3s (95th)

This 20-minute interactive program of stories, songs and fingerplays is for 2- to 3-year-olds and their accompanying adult. In addition, strategies will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home.

Lapsit Storytime (95th)

An introduction to storytime for infants to 23-month-olds, this 20-minute interactive program will include stories, songs and fingerplays. Attendees will have time after the program to share board books and other featured titles with their little one.

Let's JAM! Learn how to create amazing artistic projects on an iPad or iPhone. Participants will learn how to draw on the iPad, take and edit the best photos and videos, make the perfect soundtrack, and share them. Please bring an iPhone or iPad and creativity! *Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 30 teen participants.
