English Conversation Groups for ESL Students (NBL)

These groups are designed to give English-as-a-Second-Language students a chance to practice their skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment. There is no fee for attending these classes, and one does not have to attend every session. Patrons are invited to attend whenever they can. All adult learners are welcome. Introduction To Garage Band (95th)

Visit our new Digital Media Lab to create some tunes with GarageBand's built in instruments! Join us to learn the basics of playing, recording, and sharing.

There is a non-refundable, non-transferable attendance fee for each class that must be paid at the time of registration. You can transfer to another class with one weeks' advance notice. If you cannot attend a class for any reason, please let the Computer Lab staff know so that we can offer the spot to someone on the waiting list. Unless noted below, the fees are:
Naperville Public Library card holders: $10
Reciprocal Borrowers: $20

Group Classes are appropriate for adults and students grade 8 and above. Stop by the Computer Lab desk at any of our facilities for more information and to register!

Slaying Dragons with Poetry(NIC)

Celebrate National Poetry Month with the Naperville Writer?'s Group. Poets, writers and those who to read can enjoy keynote speaker, Sandra Marchetti, author of a collection of poems, ?"Confluence,?" and Elmhurst College writing teacher. Poet Ray Simon, past president of the Naperville Writer?'s Group, will moderate the event. In addition to the featured readers, members of the Naperville Writer?'s Group and local poets will share their poetry. This program is presented in partnership with the Naperville Writer?'s Group.

Digital Camera Basics (95th)

New camera? Old camera? Confused about Pixels? Wonder why dates display on pictures but sometimes don?'t? Flash for lighting versus Flash Memory? Want to learn how to transfer pictures to a computer and share? Want to correct red eye? Bring your questions and your camera to this class and learn tricks and techniques.

Pay It Forward: Project Linus (NIC)

Pay it forward by making a new, handmade washable blanket. All blanket styles are welcome, including quilts, tied fleece blankets and knit or crochet afghans. Blankets will be given to seriously ill and traumatized children. Beginners can learn how, and teens will earn volunteer hours! You can use your own patterns or one of ours. Please come with your own supplies in child friendly colors. A supply list is available upon request. Open to adults and teens in grades 6 - 12.
