Great Decisions Discussion Group(NBL)

Volunteer Tax Assistance from the Notre Dame Club of Greater Dupage (NIC)

Free tax preparation help will be available for low-income households and workers earning less than $53,000 a year. Individuals must bring proof of identification, their Social Security card(s) for all members of the household, Wage and Earning Statement(s) (W-2), interest and dividend statements (1099), property tax bill (if applicable) and a copy of their 2013 federal income tax return. Please also bring proof of health care coverage: Form 1095 or Affordable Health Care statement. Appointments will not be accepted. Participants will be assisted on a first-come, first-served basis. Numbers will be given out at the UPPER LEVEL ENTRANCE ONLY.

Stitch with the library's community knit, crochet and needlecraft club. Crafters can share tips and ideas as well as showcase their latest project or ask for help on a project they may be struggling to complete. Along with good company, conversation and refreshments, attendees will learn about charity projects, share ideas and patterns or swap materials. Books on knitting, crocheting and needlecrafts will be available. All skill levels may attend.

What every woman should know (NSL)

Dr. Michelle Dougherty will provide critical information that may affect many of the 80 million women in the U.S. suffering from PMS, menopausal symptoms and other female hormonal health issues. She also will discuss how hormones may impact energy levels, weight gain, fertility and libido. Attendees will learn why their bodies feel certain symptoms as well as provide natural tips to help ease any imbalances or life transitions.
