English conversation groups for ESL students (NSL)

These groups are designed to give English-as-a-second-language students a change to practice their skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment. All adult learners can attend the free groups, and one does not have to attend every session.

Stitching in the stacks(NIC)

Stitch with the library's community knit, crochet and needlecraft club. Crafters can share tips and ideas as well as showcase their latest project or ask for help on a project they may be struggling to complete. Along with good company, conversation and refreshments, attendees will learn about charity projects, share ideas and patterns or swap materials. Books on knitting, crocheting and needlecrafts will be available. All skill levels may attend.

Foxcatcher: Rated R for some drug use and a scene of violence.
Movie lovers can visit the library each month for a screening of a newly released DVD. Skip the long lines at the theater as well as the long hold lists at the library and see a movie with other like-minded film buffs. Check the library?'s website,, for upcoming titles. No one younger than age 18 will be admitted to an R-rated movie without a parent or guardian.
