Why My Child? (NSL)

Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 6:30 PM -- 95th Street Library
Why is my child angry? Isolated? Acting Out?
This presentation will help parents understand how children and teens respond to and deal with everyday situations. A child's view of a situation determines their response to move forward in a positive manner or to give up, leading to self-destructive behaviors. Self-confidence in children and teens plays a key role in decision making and being able to accept outcomes, whether positive or negative. Presenter and licensed counselor, Kimberly Groll, will focus on coping skills and how children and teens are processing critical decisions. Attendees can enter to win an iPad Mini and other raffle prizes. This program is presented in partnership with DuPage Child Abuse Prevention Coalition, Achieving Solutions Counseling, Inc., Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System and Naperville Public Library
