Spark: Teen Tech Fun(NSL)

Tinker with technology as the library will showcase fun equipment for tech heads to experiment with, including Spheros (robotic balls), Snap Circuits, Lego WeDos, Lego Mindstorms EV3 & NXT 2.0 robots as well as Makey Makey invention kits that allow creative minds to control a video game with Play-Doh or play a piano made of bananas.

Naperville writers group poetry month celebration (NIC)

Naperville Writers Group is delighted to announce an evening of National Poetry Month celebration. The group will host its annual event at the library with a keynote speech by an established regional poet and readings by invited poets from local writing groups and colleges. There will be some time for open mic as well. The event is free and open to the public.

Getting ready for college - ACT practice test
A practice test is crucial to ward off those test-day jitters. Test takers can find out how they will score on the real thing. Kaplan will provide proctored tests, and individuals should bring No. 2 pencils, an approved calculator and a healthy snack. The exams will begin promptly at the scheduled time, and no one will be admitted once the exam has started.

Gamers can bust out their mad Wiigaming skills at the library as many video games will be available to play. Players can bring their friends and challenge them to a game of guitar hero. Snacks will be provided.

Books & Bites - Teen & Parent Book Club(NBL)CANCELLED

Ungifted by Gordon Korman - Due to an administrative mix-up, troublemaker Donovan Curtis is sent to the Academy of Scholastic Distinction, a special program for gifted and talented students, after pulling a major prank at middle school.

Teens and a parent/adult will read the selected book together and then attend the book club to discuss it with others. Snacks will be provided. For teens in 6th through 8th grades.
