Potts & Pans Steelband Concert (NSL)

Hear the sounds of steelpans come alive as Woodstock-based Potts & Pans Steelband, the largest steelpan organization in Chicagoland, performs at the library. Started by Matt Potts, the group entertains while providing educational information about the musical instrument from the Caribbean called the steelpan (also known as the steel drum). All ages are welcome to this fun-filled night of music.

Crazy Contraptions (NIC)

Crazy Contraptions: Paper Airplane Contest.
Everything will be provided for teens to design and build stellar paper airplanes. Participants will then compete in a contest to judge each plane for flight time, distance, speed, stunts and best design. Small prizes will be awarded.

AP Physics Practice Test (NSL)

C2 Education will help students prepare for the Advanced Placement exams by administering this Advanced Placement Physics exam. This program is presented in partnership with C2 Education.

Spark: Teen Tech Fun(NSL)

Tinker with technology as the library will showcase fun equipment for tech heads to experiment with, including Spheros (robotic balls), Snap Circuits, Lego WeDos, Lego Mindstorms EV3 & NXT 2.0 robots as well as Makey Makey invention kits that allow creative minds to control a video game with Play-Doh or play a piano made of bananas.

Naperville writers group poetry month celebration (NIC)

Naperville Writers Group is delighted to announce an evening of National Poetry Month celebration. The group will host its annual event at the library with a keynote speech by an established regional poet and readings by invited poets from local writing groups and colleges. There will be some time for open mic as well. The event is free and open to the public.
