Creating a video for a business can be simple with the right tools. This presentation will demonstrate how easy it is to record with the HD Canon digital camera, lavaliere microphone and tripod and how to incorporate a green screen. Next, create background music to add to your video using GarageBand and then import that into iMovie to put the finishing touches on it. Finally get some quick advice on how to save the final video to the correct format and resolution to post to a website or blog. This class is an introduction that will lead into other classes for a more precise understanding of the software and equipment.

These groups are designed to give English-as-a-Second-Language students a chance to practice their skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment. There is no fee for attending these classes, and one does not have to attend every session. Patrons are invited to attend whenever they can. All adult learners are welcome.

Writers can attend the preparatory workshops, which are open to the public, to help ensure success throughout NaNoWriMo. 'The X Factor' and 'American Idol' contestant to perform (NSL)Monday, October 20, 2014 at 4:00 PM -- 95th Street Library
"The X Factor" and "American Idol" contestant Jillian Jensen, who is most notable for her powerful TV performance about being bullied in school, will visit Naperville Public Library to sing songs from her recently released album. In recognition of National Bullying Prevention Month in October, the library welcomes Jensen, who will speak about her personal experience as a victim of bullying. This program is intended for teens in 6th through 12th grades and adults but all ages are welcome. This program is funded by the SECA grant from the City of Naperville, The Exchange Club of Naperville, DuPage Child Abuse and Prevention Coalition, Edward Hospital-Linden Oaks, Naperville Park Dist. and Hilton-Lisle Naperville Hotel.
Free movie passes to first 75 teens in attendance.
