Computers & Equipment

COMPUTER LAB

To Use the Lab, you will need to have a current library card and have signed the Internet User's Agreement. You can stop by the patron card registration desk to sign up for or change your internet filtering level. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the agreement. If you do not wish to sign the Internet User’s Agreement, you can request a computer with Microsoft Office Suite and no internet. Ask a Computer Lab Assistant for more information.

Visitors with a photo ID can ask for an Express Pass for 1 hour of computer time. A parent or other responsible person must remain at the computer with a child under age 8.

ADULT COMPUTER LAB (Upper Level):

95th Street Adult Lab
Usage limit: Mon - Sat: 3 hrs/day ; Sun: 1.5 hrs/day
60 PCs with Internet, Online Databases and other software  with filtered access options
4 scanners

CHILDREN'S COMPUTER LAB (Lower Level):

95th Street Library Children's Computer Lab

Usage limit: Mon - Sat: 3 hrs/day ; Sun: 1.5 hrs/day
6 PCs with Internet and Online Databases
8 PCs with Children's Games - usage is one hour a day

Printing is available at both computer labs.
Black & white printing is available for 10 cents per page. Color printing is available for 25 cents per page.

USING YOUR LAPTOP

There is free-wi at this location (find out more).
There is laptop plug-in access at this location. On the upper level, there is a counter where you can connect to the internet using an ethernet cable and your laptop. Users are responsible for configuring their own equipment, supplying CAT-5 cables and connecting to the network.
