How does it work?
Go to the Library's Downloadable collection and log on to the our virtual branch. Use your card to check out and download eAudiobooks, eBooks, eMusic and eVideos that can be listened to or viewed on your computer or transferred to a portable device. You can place a hold on an item if it is checked out to another patron.
The first time you download a book using OverDrive, you will be asked to install and register free software. Ask a Librarian if you need help.
There are never overdue books or late fees - titles automatically return to the Library's collection after 21 days.
You can check out as many as 15 items at one time.
What else should I know?
eAudiobooks can be transferred to a compatible device from your home computer or from a licensed Downloadable station at each location. Ask staff for more information.
Downloadable items cannot be downloaded to any regular library computers due to software licensing restrictions.
First time users can visit the Quick Start Guide for more information.
The downloadable collection is restricted to Naperville cardholders only.
