This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun activities is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany their children.

Pairs (NBL) - Art Bots, Spheros

Friday, December 02, 2016 at 7:00 PM -- Naper Blvd. Library
This interactive program is for the child and caregiver to learn a new technology and then use these skills to challenge fellow participants. Caregiver must be present. For children in kindergarten to 2nd grade. *Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 10 child/adult pairs.

Family Portrait (95th)

Library staff will take portraits in front of the Idea Lab's green screen so families can have fun photos for every season to frame or to include in holiday cards.

Sensory Storytime (NIC)

Registration is optional. This program does not require a Naperville Library card to participate.
The whole family is invited to a 30-minute program of books, songs and fun for children 3 years and older with special needs. All abilities are welcome with an adult caregiver. Inquire at any children's service desk for more information. The program will take place on the first Saturday of each month.

Free Movie @ the Library (NIC)

No more waiting in long lines at the theater or on long hold lists at the library to see a new movie. Join fellow movie lovers each month for a screening of a new movie release. Check the library's website for upcoming titles. No one younger than 18 will be admitted to an R-rated movie without a parent or guardian.

Pearl Harbor: a Day That Will Live in Infamy (95th)

On Dec. 7, 1941, the United States was suddenly and deliberately surprise attacked by Japanese Naval and Air Forces and then thrust from isolationism into World War II. Historian, Jim Gibbons will discuss the beginnings of the storms of war that led to the predawn attack. He also will talk about how the government in Washington and the people of the United States were wooed to vulnerability and then struck hard by the Empire of Japan. Suffering a devastating naval loss in a little over one hour and 50 minutes, Gibbons will show how the people of the United States, as former president Franklin Delano Roosevelt stated, "In their righteous might [did] succeed to absolute victory!"

Mini Masterpieces (95th)

Infants through 23-month-olds can enjoy a baby storytime followed by a hand or foot print keepsake. Caregivers can chat while the babies play with books and toys waiting for their artwork to dry. Program is limited to 20 participants.
