Genealogy: Drop-In Help (NIC)

A volunteer from the Fox Valley Genealogical Society will be available in the adult services department to help any interested individuals who wish to obtain assistance either to get started on a genealogy project or to complete difficult genealogical research challenges.

Riverwalk Storytimes

Staff will present this popular Riverwalk program, which will include stories, songs and a puppet show. Participants can bring a meal or snack. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be canceled. (The Wednesday lunchtime program will be a repeat of the Tuesday evening program.) These programs are presented in partnership with Naperville Park District.

Baby Play Date (NIC)

Babies learn through play! Adults and infants can enjoy stories, songs and bounces, followed by 10 minutes of exploratory play with their new friends. For infants through 23-month-olds and their caregivers.

Storytime At The Museum

Join Naperville Public Library staff the first and third Wednesday of the month for a special storytime at DuPage Children's Museum. This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun is for children of all ages. Museum admission purchase needed to attend storytime.

Downloadable Drop-In Session (95th)

Library staff will be on hand to assist in setting up attendees' Apple- or Android-based device, Kindle or Nook to download e-books, e-audiobooks, magazines and music. Stop in at any time during one of the sessions for one-on-one assistance and learn about everything the library offers for these devices.

Students entering kindergarten through 5th grade can practice reading, listening to and discussing books in a fun and relaxed atmosphere with a teen volunteer this summer. Depending on attendance, readers may be placed in a group. Children may bring a book or choose one from the library. All participants must be independent readers. Those arriving more than 10 minutes late cannot be guaranteed placement with a partner.
