3-D Software & Printing for Adults (95th)

Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 6:30 PM -- 95th Street Library
Adults can learn how to design three-dimensional object using 3-D software as well as the process of printing it using the library's 3-D printer. *Program requires advanced registration with a fee and is limited to 12 participants.
This class is appropriate for adults and students in 8th grade or older and are limited to 12 participants. Registration is taken at the computer lab desks.
This class has a non-refundable attendance fee that must be paid at the time of registration.
The fee for these classes is:
Naperville Public Library card holders: $10
Non-Naperville Public Library card holders: $20

Participants can transfer to another class with one week's advance notice. If individuals cannot attend a class for any reason, they should inform the computer lab staff so the spot may be available to an individual on the waiting list.

Mini Masterpieces (NIC)

Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 9:30 AM -- Nichols Library
Infants through 23-month-olds can enjoy a baby storytime followed by a hand or foot print keepsake. Caregivers can chat while the babies play with books and toys waiting for their artwork to dry. Program is limited to 20 participants.

English Conversation Groups for ESL students (NBL)

Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM -- Naper Blvd. Library
These groups are designed to give English-as-a-second-language students a chance to practice their skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment. All adult learners can attend the free groups, and one does not have to attend every session. No registration is required. For more information, contact Literacy DuPage at 630-416-6699. This program is presented in partnership with Literacy DuPage.

Family Storytime (95th)

This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun activities is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany their children.

Coloring for Adults (NIC)

Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 3:00 PM -- Nichols Library
Color with other adults using printed designs and various coloring media that will be provided by the library while enjoying tea, listening to music and chatting. Participants also can bring their own coloring books and supplies.

Sing a Story (NBL)

Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 4:30 PM -- Naper Blvd. Library
Come sing and play at the library! This interactive program features an approach to literacy called Education Through Music. Participants can play song based games, move to music and listen to stories. This program is for children ages 4 to 6 years old and is limited to 22 participants.

Book & Cookie Club (95th)

December title: The Strange Case of Origami Yoda by Tom Angleberger
Visit the library for a child-and-parent book discussion group. The child and parent/adult will read the selected book together and then attend the club's meeting to discuss it with others while enjoying a cookie or two. Each book will be chosen at the preceding meeting and listed on the library's website. The library will have multiple copies of each title available for checkout. For children in 3rd through 6th grades. Program is limited to 15 child/parent pairs.

A German Musical Christmas Journey (NIC)

In celebration of the Christkindlmarket coming to Naperville, the library is exploring the German culture as the Alpine Thunder Trio will take audience members on a musical journey through Germany as they relate German Christmas music and other folk songs to traditional practices, culture, language and geography.
