English conversation groups for ESL students (NBL)

Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 10:00 AM -- Naper Boulevard Library
These groups are designed to give English-as-a-Second-Language students a chance to practice their skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment. There is no fee for attending these classes, and one does not have to attend every session. Patrons are invited to attend whenever they can. All adult learners are welcome.

Monthly Teen Book Giveaway (NSL)

Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 3:00 PM -- 95th Street Library
Love reading and reviewing books? Teens can stop by the upper level Adult Services desk on the last Wednesday of each month to grab a soon-to-be-released and popular young adult book. Participants can take the book home, add it to their collection and write a review for each book. The library will publish reviewers?' comments on its website.

Teen Movie Series (NSL): "Divergent" (PG-13)

*Minecraft Club (NBL)

Teens can build their own world with other fans. Participants must bring their own Minecraft accounts. *Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 10 teen participants.

Lapsit Storytime (NIC)

Tuesday, September 02, 2014 at 9:30 AM -- Nichols Library
An introduction to storytime for children from birth - 23 months. This 20-minute interactive program includes stories, songs and fingerplays. You will have time after the program to share board books and other featured titles with your little one. An adult caregiver must attend with each child. The only exception is in the case of twins.
