Family Storytime (NBL)

Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 10:30 AM -- Naper Blvd. Library

This 30-minute program of stories, songs and other activities is for children of all ages. In addition, staff members will present strategies to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany children to these fun-filled programs.

Students entering kindergarten through 5th grade can practice reading, listening to and discussing books in a fun and relaxed atmosphere with a teen volunteer this summer. Depending on attendance, readers may be placed in a group. Children may bring a book or choose one from the library. All participants must be independent readers. Those arriving more than 10 minutes late cannot be guaranteed placement with a partner.

Intro To Python For Teens

This is an introduction to Python, a general-purpose, object-oriented computer language used for standalone projects or scripting applications. *Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 12 participants.

Coloring For Relaxation (95th)

Relax and refresh by coloring while enjoying a cup of tea, listening to music and chatting with other adults trying to decompress. The library will provide printed designs and various coloring media, or adults may wish to bring their own coloring book and supplies.

Naperville Public Library Presents - Alfred Hitchcock (95th)

Murder, suspense and a twist of humor are signature Alfred Hitchcock movie characteristics. The master of suspense's classics will play in series this summer at the library. Six movies will feature the best of his genius.

Walt Disney World Tips And Tricks (95th)

Attendees can learn how to plan their family friendly vacation, including making reservations for restaurants, rides and more tips for their next trip to Walt Disney World. While library staff members may not be travel agents, they have learned from experience what some of the best features are and what extras to skip depending on the length of the trip. The park app will be discussed, so bring a tablet or smart device to the program. *Program requires advanced registration.

Evening On The Riverwalk

Staff will present this popular Riverwalk program, which will include stories, songs and a puppet show. Participants can bring a meal or snack. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be canceled. (The Wednesday lunchtime program will be a repeat of the Tuesday evening program.)
