Little sprouts can visit the library to hear stories, sing songs and make a craft that will plant a little knowledge about how gardens grow. All sprouts will leave the program giving two green thumbs up!

Language Stars, a Chicago-based provider of early foreign language education, will return with fun and high-energy programs. Teachers will provide a 30-minute interactive storytime, featuring books, songs and activities conducted entirely in their native language. Recommended for children ages 1 to 6 years old, but all ages are welcome.

Come to the library each month to watch anime, draw manga, talk about different aspects of Japanese pop culture and meet other otaku.

Homeschoolers of all ages can display projects on any topic during the Homeschool Showcase. Family and friends can visit the library and check out their homeschooler?'s work.

11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass
Come to the library for a child-and-parent book discussion group. The child and parent/adult will read the selected book together and then attend the club?'s meeting to discuss it with others while enjoying a cookie or two. Each book will be chosen at the preceding meeting and listed on the library?'s website, www.naperville-lib.org. The library will have multiple copies of each title available for checkout.
Dupage Children's Museum Programs - Come play with us at the Library (NSL)Tuesday, May 05, 2015 at 10:00 AM -- 95th Street Library
Children can learn through play as DuPage Children's Museum will bring its educational exhibits to Naperville Public Library. The museum's early learning specialist and community access coordinator will provide play facilitation techniques utilizing portable versions of the museum's full-sized exhibits. In addition, library staff will demonstrate the power of play through storytimes during this drop-in program that is limited to 30 participants. This program is presented in partnership with DuPage Children's Museum.

Stitch with the library's community knit, crochet and needlecraft club. Crafters can share tips and ideas as well as showcase their latest project or ask for help on a project they may be struggling to complete. Along with good company, conversation and refreshments, attendees will learn about charity projects, share ideas and patterns or swap materials. Books on knitting, crocheting and needlecrafts will be available. All skill levels may attend.

Kids can saddle up and climb on their hobby horse! During this hands-on program, children will discover how horses helped pioneers settle the prairie. This program is presented in partnership with Naper Settlement.
