Small Business Workshop: What it takes to get a loan (NIC)

Business owners can learn about qualifying for a commercial loan as well as the information required to apply, how they should represent themselves and what can be expected from local lenders. Seating is limited. This program is presented in partnership with Fox Valley SCORE.

Genealogy Drop-in Help (NIC)

A volunteer from the Fox Valley Genealogical Society will be available in the adult services department to help any interested individuals who wish to obtain assistance either to get started on a genealogy project or to complete difficult genealogical research challenges.

Make It! Take It! (NIC)

Preschoolers and their caregivers can enjoy this fun program of stories and crafts. The activities will be geared toward 3- and 4-year-olds, but 5-year-olds are welcome to attend. Younger siblings may accompany the older child as coloring sheets will be available for them. At least one adult caregiver must attend with the child. This program is limited to 20 children making crafts.

Family Storytime (95th)

This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun activities is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany their children.

Halloween Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Carve, decorate or paint a pumpkin and then send a photo of it to for a chance to win a prize. Entries, which must be received by midnight Oct. 31, will be shared on the library's Instagram accounts. Include the pumpkin designer's name, grade and phone number along with the photo.

Lapsit Storytime (NIC)

An introduction to storytime for infants to 23-month-olds, this 20-minute interactive program will include stories, songs and fingerplays. Attendees will have time after the program to share board books and other featured titles with their little one. An adult caregiver must attend with each child. The only exception is in the case of twins.
