This 30-minute independent storytime experience is for 3 to 5-year-olds only. No younger or older siblings will be allowed.
Lapsit storytime (NSL)Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 1:30 PM -- 95th Street Library
An introduction to storytime for infants to 23-month-olds. This 20-minute interactive program will include stories, songs and fingerplays. Attendees will have time after the program to share board books and other featured titles with their little ones. An adult caregiver must attend with each child. The only exception is in the case of twins.
Stitching in the stacks(NSL)Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 3:00 PM -- 95th Street Library
Stitch with the library's community knit, crochet and needlecraft club. Crafters can share tips and ideas as well as showcase their latest project or ask for help on a project they may be struggling to complete. Along with good company, conversation and refreshments, attendees will learn about charity projects, share ideas and patterns or swap materials. Books on knitting, crocheting and needlecrafts will be available. All skill levels may attend.

It's full STEAM ahead as curious participants can come twice a month to join in activities featuring science, technology, engineering, art and math.
Word 2 (95th)Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 6:30 PM -- 95th Street Library
Add borders, pictures, clip art and neat effects to Word documents. Create bulleted and numbered lists, insert page numbers and other headers and footers. Program requires advanced registration.
Make it! Take it! (NIC)Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 7:00 PM -- Nichols Library
Preschoolers and their caregivers can enjoy this fun program of stories and crafts. The activities will be geared toward 3- and 4-year-olds, but 5-year-olds are welcome to attend. Younger siblings may accompany the older child as coloring sheets will be available for them. At least one adult caregiver must attend with the child. The program is limited to 20 children creating crafts.
Family storytime (NSL)Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 7:00 PM -- 95th Street Library
This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun activities is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies also will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany children.
