NaperLaunch Meetup: Pitching for a Strategic Alliance Partner

Greg has a solid record of resourceful, innovative, top and bottom-line management expertise. His career accomplishments feature both new products and business turnarounds including multimillion dollar licensing deals and bringing new products to market. Greg's experience covers a diverse range of companies including frozen foods, juice drinks, steel foundries, steel fabricators, electrical contracting, parts manufacturers, pottery and a psychiatric clinic. Greg will discuss how to pitch for a strategic partner.

Family Storytime (NBL)

This 30-minute program of stories, songs and other activities is for children of all ages. In addition, staff members will present strategies to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany children to these fun-filled programs.

3-D Print With Me

Child and parent/adult pairs will learn how to design a three-dimensional object using 3-D software as well as the process of printing it using the library's 3-D printer. *Program requires advanced registration with a fee and is limited to 12 child/parent pairs. 

The computer and technology classes have a non-refundable, non-transferable attendance fee for each class that must be paid at the time of registration. Registrations for these classes are taken at the computer lab desks.

The fee for these classes is:

Naperville Public Library card holders: $10

Non-Naperville Public Library card holders: $20

Participants can transfer to another class with one week's advance notice. If individuals cannot attend a class for any reason, they should inform the computer lab staff so the spot may be available to an individual on the waiting list.

Sharpie Tie-Dye T-Shirts (NBL)

Create unique t-shirt designs using permanent markers, rubbing alcohol and rubber bands. Participants are asked to bring a white cotton T-shirt and wear clothes they don't mind getting dirty. *Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 20 teen participants. For Teens in 6th through 12th grades.

Book & Cookie Club (NIC)

A Tale Dark & Grimm by Adam Gidwitz
Visit the library for a child-and-parent book discussion group. The child and parent/adult will read the selected book together and then attend the club's meeting to discuss it with others while enjoying a cookie or two. Each book will be chosen at the preceding meeting and listed on the library's website, www.naperville-lib.org. The library will have multiple copies of each title available for checkout. For children in 3rd through 5th grades. Program is limited to 15 child/parent pairs.

Read2gether (95th)

Students entering kindergarten through 5th grade can practice reading, listening to and discussing books in a fun and relaxed atmosphere with a teen volunteer this summer. Depending on attendance, readers may be placed in a group. Children may bring a book or choose one from the library. All participants must be independent readers. Those arriving more than 10 minutes late cannot be guaranteed placement with a partner.


The Power Of Play (NBL)

Adult and child interactive play is critical to language development. Caregivers are invited to the library to play with their child at stations of fun and games, including manipulates, board games and puzzles, as well as items for imaginative play and gross motor activity. For infants through 5th grade with a caregiver. This is a drop-in program with a room limit of 30.
