Stop in at any time during one of the sessions for one-on-one assistance and learn about everything the library offers for these devices.

Book & Cookie Club (NIC)

August title: The Wild Robot  by Peter Brown
Visit the library for a child-and-parent book discussion group. The child and parent/adult will read the selected book together and then attend the club's meeting to discuss it with others while enjoying a cookie or two. Each book will be chosen at the preceding meeting and listed on the library's website, The library will have multiple copies of each title available for checkout. For children in 3rd through 5th grades. Program is limited to 15 child/parent pairs.

Sounds of Brazil (95th)

Join Brazilian master percussionist and drummer, Ded?(C) Sampio as he gets audience members ready for the opening ceremony of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. This exciting cultural experience reflects Brazilian music's unique rhythms, helping to teach Brazilian history, geography and customs. Sampaio will play and demonstrate a wide variety of Brazilian percussion instruments while explaining their origin. Audience members can get a chance to participate in hands-on percussion as they help to re-create "The Brazilian Carnaval." atmosphere.
