Nichols library events for next 5 days

Monday, July 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM -- Nichols Library
Students entering kindergarten through 5th grade can practice reading, listening to and discussing books in a fun and relaxed atmosphere with a teen volunteer this summer. Depending on attendance, readers may be placed in a group. Children may bring a book or choose one from the library. All participants must be independent readers. Those arriving more than 10 minutes late cannot be guaranteed placement with a partner.

Sign and Play With Baby (NIC)

Monday, July 25, 2016 at 6:30 PM -- Nichols Library
Learn to communicate with babies using sign language. This three-week program provides a fun environment for babies and their caregivers to learn the basics of sign language. Each week, a new theme will be introduced using stimulating activities, books, songs and play. For children 8 - 23 months old. *Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 12 babies per program.

Drive-In Movie (NIC)

Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 3:30 PM -- Nichols Library
Note: Room has changed to  Story Room. Summer is the perfect time for a drive-in movie! Children will decorate their own cars from cardboard boxes, and then park in designated spaces in front of the screen to watch a short movie. For children ages 5 to 7 years old.  *Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 20 children.

Riverwalk Storytimes

Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 7:00 PM -- Nichols Library
Staff will present this popular Riverwalk program, which will include stories, songs and a puppet show. Participants can bring a meal or snack. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be canceled. (The Wednesday lunchtime program will be a repeat of the Tuesday evening program.) These programs are presented in partnership with Naperville Park District.
