Brown Bag Lectures: Meet Two Masters of the Italian Renaissance (95th)

Bring a sack lunch to the library's new lunchtime lecture series that meets on the third Thursday of the month. Adults can talk over lunch at 12:30 p.m. and stay for an engaging lecture beginning at 1 p.m. The library will provide coffee and dessert. This month, meet two masters of the Italian Renaissance, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. While da Vinci devoted his life to unraveling the mathematical perfection of the physical universe, Michelangelo was determined to illuminate the need to battle the carnal tendencies within humanity to reveal pure images of the heart. Fierce competitors during the height of the Italian renaissance, Leonardo and Michelangelo debate their contrasting world viewpoints, illustrated by projections of their work.

College Illinois! 529 Prepaid tuition Information (NIC)

The College Illinois! Prepaid Tuition Program allows individuals to set up a plan to pay for college tuition and mandatory fees at current contract rates to avoid tuition inflation. The program was created to help make college a reality for Illinois residents by providing a plan of action to prepare for college. A representative from ISAC (Illinois Student Assistance Commission) will explain the program and answer questions. This program is presented in partnership with ISAC.

Great Decisions Discussion Group (NBL)
