Criminal Spines Book Club will discuss the "Scrapbooking Mystery" series by Laura Childs starting at 7 p.m. A scrapbooking craft will also be created as the club discusses the cozy mystery series, which includes titles set around Halloween such as "Photo Finished", "Frill Kill", "Fiber & Brimstone" and "Gossamer Ghost." Participants can arrive early at 6:30 p.m. for a demonstration of the new Cameo Cutter, which is sure to be useful to scrapbookers.

Stitch with the library's community knit, crochet and needle craft group. Crafters can bring their own project or pay it forward by knitting or crocheting red scarves using any pattern for collegiate foster students. Scarves will be donated to the Red Scarf Project of Foster Care to Success to be included in their student care packages.
Bring machine washable worsted weight acrylic soft red yarn and US size 8, 9 or 10 knitting needles or H, I or J crochet hook. All skill levels may attend. Experienced knitters and crocheters are welcome to share their expertise, and beginners can learn.
STUDENT FILMS STEP UP TO BULLYING (95th)Friday, October 09, 2015 at 6:30 PM -- 95th Street Library
Social commentary through filmmaking does not rely on age or experience. Please join us as we screen a range of films exploring bullying. As October is National Bullying Prevention Month, Naperville Independent Film Festival will screen five student-produced anti-bullying films from KidsMatter, a local nonprofit helping to empower youth. The short films were written and produced by students from school districts 203 and 204. In addition, three short films from the 2015 Naperville Independent Film Festival relating to bullying will be shown. Parents and students are encouraged to attend, and handouts will be given out discussing the topic. This program is presented in partnership with Naperville Independent Film Festival, KidsMatter and Naperville Public Library.
