Sign and play with baby - Mealtime theme (NSL)

Learn to communicate with babies using sign language. This three-week program provides a fun environment for babies and their caregivers to learn the basics of sign language. Each week, a new theme will be introduced using stimulating activities, books, songs and play.

Family Storytime (NBL)

This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun activities is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies also will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany children.

Winter Family Reading Program

Friday, December 05, 2014 at 9:00 AM -- All Libraries
Families with children in 5th grade and even babies can sign up starting Monday, Dec. 1. Children will earn prizes and coupons for reading together as a family and doing other family-fun activities. All participants will be entered into drawings to win Chicago Wolves Hockey tickets and a grand prize.

Heartfelt handmade gifts (NIC)

Student crafters can learn how to make two personalized crafts for holiday gift giving. Library staff will be available to assist participants in creating a handcrafted wallet and keychain to take home.
