Puppet Palooza (NIC)

Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 10:30 AM -- Nichols Library
Come to a puppet event of extraordinary proportions! Three or four, maybe more, short fun-filled puppet plays will be presented. Children will be invited to sing and dance during intermissions.

Family Storytime (NBL)

Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 10:30 AM -- Naper Blvd. Library
This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun activities is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany their children.

Interactive Sensory Evening (NBL)

Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 7:00 PM -- Naper Blvd. Library
Families will participate in activity stations, reading and crafts with their children who will enjoy sensory experiences. This drop-in program is for children 3 years old and older and has a room limit of 30 participants.

Book & Cookie Club (NIC)

Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 7:00 PM -- Nichols Library
Visit the library for a child-and-parent book discussion group. The child and parent/adult will read the selected book together and then attend the club's meeting to discuss it with others while enjoying a cookie or two. Each book will be chosen at the preceding meeting and listed on the library's website. The library will have multiple copies of each title available for checkout. For children in 3rd through 6th grades. Program is limited to 15 child/parent pairs.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover (95th)

Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 9:30 AM -- 95th Street Library
Kids can bring their favorite stuffed animal for a sleepover at the library. They can drop off their stuffed animal, create a special nametag and say goodnight while leaving it in the care of the children's staff. The next morning, kids can reunite with their stuffed animal and find out what happened during the sleepover while enjoying a special storytime. Animal owners will be surprised to see pictures of the fun they had at the library. 
Drop-off stuffed animal in Children's Department Friday, Dec. 16 from 4 - 6 p.m. 
Storytime in Meeting Room A/B Saturday, Dec. 17 from 9:30 - 10 a.m.
