Tuesday, July 08, 2014 at 5:30 PM -- 95th Street Library
ATTENTION! Students entering 1st through 5th grades, do you want to spend time reading aloud with an older student? This non-tutoring program is intended to provide children with an opportunity to spend time reading aloud with a student volunteer. Come to the library at one of the times listed below. Children will be paired with a volunteer entering 6th through 12th grades and will spend the one-hour session taking turns reading aloud. Depending on attendance, a child may be placed in a group.

Evening on the riverwalk

Tuesday, July 08, 2014 at 7:00 PM -- Nichols Library
The library?'s Children?'s Services staff will present this popular Riverwalk program, which will include stories, songs and a puppet show. Participants can bring a meal or snack. In the event of inclement weather, the program will take place in the Community Room of Nichols Library.

Book & Cookie Club (NBL)

Wednesday, July 09, 2014 at 7:00 PM -- Naper Boulevard Library
Join us for our parent and child book discussion group! You and your parent (or other favorite adult) will read a book together and then come to the Naper Blvd. Library to discuss the book with others, as well as enjoy a cookie or two. The library will have multiple copies of the book for checkout. Books may also be checked out through LINKin. Ask our staff for help. For children in grades 3rd - 5th.

Family Storytime (NBL)

Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 10:30 AM -- Naper Boulevard Library
This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities right in your home! At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany children to these fun filled programs.

Beasts Beyond Belief (NSL)

Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 10:30 AM -- 95th Street Library
Bill Buczinsky, poet, performer and fleet-footed whimsy-maker, will bring out the beast in everyone. Attendees will become a tribe in the library jungle and celebrate the poetry of animals in this participatory poetry program. This program is partially funded by a grant from the City of Naperville.
