English Conversation Groups for ESL students (NBL)

These groups are designed to give English-as-a-second-language students a chance to practice their skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment. All adult learners can attend the free groups, and one does not have to attend every session. No registration is required. For more information, contact Literacy DuPage at 630-416-6699. Puppet Palooza (NBL)

Come to a puppet event of extraordinary proportions! Three or four, maybe more, short fun-filled puppet plays will be presented. Children will be invited to sing and dance during intermissions.

Mini Masterpieces (NBL)

Infants through 23-month-olds can enjoy a baby storytime followed by a hand or foot print keepsake. Caregivers can chat while the babies play with books and toys waiting for their artwork to dry. Program is limited to 20 participants.

This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun activities is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany their children.

Criminal Spines Book Club (NBL)

Peer into humanity's darker nature via the world of criminals and detectives. This book club discusses mysteries, thrillers, suspense novels and true crime. Red herrings swim and plot twists are the order of the day. Stitching in the Stacks: Project Linus (NBL)

Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 1:00 PM -- Naper Blvd. Library
Stitch with the library's knit, crochet and needlecraft groups. This season's Pay It Forward project is to create fleece-tied, crocheted, knit or quilted blankets for children. Blankets will be donated to Project Linus for seriously ill and traumatized children. Participants should bring their own supplies to create their blanket, and the library will have a supply of patterns available. All skill levels may attend.
