English conversation groups for ESL students (NBL)

These groups are designed to give English-as-a-second-language students a change to practice their skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment. All adult learners can attend the free groups, and one does not have to attend every session. No registration is required.

Family Storytime (NBL)

This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun activities is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany their children.

3-D printing & Cookie Creations (NBL)

Thursday, December 03, 2015 at 3:30 PM -- Naper Boulevard Library
Children will use Cookie Caster software to create a custom 3-D printable cookie cutter design and will also decorate cookies.
For children in 3rd through 5th grades. Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 15 children. Children may sign up for only one of the six programs offered.

Sign and play with baby - mealtime (NBL)

Learn to communicate with babies using sign language. This three-week-long program provides a fun environment for babies and their caregivers to learn the basics of sign language. Each week, a new theme will be introduced using stimulating activities, books, songs and play. For children ages 8 ?- 23 months. *Program requires advanced registration for each date and is limited to 12 babies per program.

Doctor Who' Crafternoon (NBL)

Friday, December 04, 2015 at 4:30 PM -- Naper Boulevard Library
In conjunction with the "Doctor Who" season finale, teens can come to the library for a variety of Whovian crafts, trivia and even take a photo next to the library's TARDIS! *Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 20 teen participants.This program is for teens in 6th through 12th grades.
