English conversation groups for ESL students (NBL)

These groups are designed to give English-as-a-second-language students a change to practice their skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment. All adult learners can attend the free groups, and one does not have to attend every session. No registration is required.

Family Storytime (NBL)

This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun activities is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany their children.

Teen Movie Series: Movie Matinee

Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 4:30 PM -- Naper Boulevard Library
Teens can enjoy snacks while watching movies that have been newly released on DVD, ones that might have been missed in theaters or beloved classic movies.

Lapsit Storytime (NBL)

Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 9:30 AM -- Naper Boulevard Library
An introduction to storytime for infants to 23-month-olds, this 20-minute interactive program will include stories, songs and fingerplays. Attendees will have time after the program to share board books and other featured titles with their little one. An adult caregiver must attend with each child. The only exception is in the case of twins.

Make It! Take It! (NBL)

Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11:30 AM -- Naper Boulevard Library
Preschoolers and their caregivers can enjoy this fun program of stories and crafts. The activities will be geared toward 3- and 4-year-olds, but 5-year-olds are welcome to attend. Younger siblings may accompany the older child as coloring sheets will be available for them. At least one adult caregiver must attend with the child. This program is limited to 20 children making crafts.

Coloring for Relaxation (NBL)

Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 3:00 PM -- Naper Boulevard Library
Come relax and refresh by coloring together. Enjoy a cup of tea, listen to music and chat while coloring printed designs with various coloring media.

Great Decisions Discussion Group (NBL)

This discussion group, which is open to the public, will study and discuss foreign policy issues. One topic is covered each week. Participants can attend just one discussion or attend all groups.
