Naperville Public Library to Offer College Application Prep Programs
Naperville Public Library will offer several programs this month to help college-bound students prepare for test taking, college applications and financial aid.
NPL will offer an ACT practice test to teens in grades 9-12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 7 at Nichols Library, 200 W. Jefferson Ave. The program is presented in partnership with Kaplan. A PSAT practice test will also be given from 6-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 19 at the 95th Street Library, 3015 Cedar Glade Dr.
Registration is required. Three additional ACT practice tests will be provided through November.
NPL will present “College Application and Essay Writing Seminar” in partnership with C2 Education from 7-8 p.m. on Monday, September 16 at Nichols Library, 200 W. Jefferson Ave. This program is geared towards high school students in grades 10-12 and their parents who want to learn how to show off academic achievements and activities in college applications and essays. Registration is required for this event.

NPL will present “ISAC Financial Aid Process & Overview” in partnership with Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) from 7-8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24 at Naper Blvd. Library, 2035 Naper Blvd.
The program will cover the financial aid process, trusted sources of information, state and federal aid programs and the 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
