Naperville Public Library to Offer Program on Staying Smart about Smartphones

The Naperville Public Library will offer “Smartphone Basics” from 7-8:30 p.m. on October 8 at Nichols Library, 200 W. Jefferson Ave.

With the fast pace of technology and ever-changing world of mobile devices, it is now more important than ever to learn about smartphones. The program will provide an easy-to-understand introduction to these devices and their benefits.

The class will cover topics including important terminology, different operating systems and their advantages, data coverage and some of the best apps to download on your smartphone.

“We are excited to offer this class again; it is very helpful for those who aren’t sure whether they should get a smartphone and also for those who purchased one and aren’t sure how to fully utilize it yet,” said Dave Della Terza, Computer Lab Supervisor at the Naperville Public Library. “The program went really well last time — everyone seemed to love it, so I’m excited to do it again.”
