This 30-minute program of stories, songs and more fun activities is for children of all ages. In addition, strategies will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany their children.

Lapsit Storytime (NIC)Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 9:30 AM -- Nichols Library
An introduction to storytime for infants to 23-month-olds, this 20-minute interactive program will include stories, songs and fingerplays. Attendees will have time after the program to share board books and other featured titles with their little one. An adult caregiver must attend with each child. The only exception is in the case of twins.
Preschool for 3s, 4s, & 5s (NIC)Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 9:30 AM -- Nichols Library
This 30-minute independent storytime experience is for 3- to 5-year-olds only. No younger or older siblings allowed.
Tales for 2s & 3s(NIC)Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 10:30 AM -- Nichols Library
This 20-minute interactive program of stories, songs and fingerplays is for 2- to 3-year-olds and their accompanying adult. In addition, strategies will be presented to enhance early learning opportunities at home. No younger or older siblings allowed.
Library Explorers - Catapults and Towers (NIC)Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 4:15 PM -- Nichols Library
Little explorers can create crafts, read books, play with LEGOs, learn about science and have a rollicking good time. For students in 3rd through 5th grades. Program is limited to 15 children.
Stitching in the Stacks (NIC)Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 7:00 PM -- Nichols Library
Stitch with the library's community knit, crochet and needlecraft group. This season's Pay it Forward community project will be knitting or crocheting 7 x 9 inch Afghan squares to create blankets to donate to Family Shelter Services. Knitters also can bring their own projects to work on with fellow crafters. All skill levels may attend, and experienced crafters are welcome to share their expertise and work with staff to help beginners.

Make It! Take It! (NIC)Friday, February 12, 2016 at 9:30 AM -- Nichols Library
Preschoolers and their caregivers can enjoy this fun program of stories and crafts. The activities will be geared toward 3- and 4-year-olds, but 5-year-olds are welcome to attend. Younger siblings may accompany the older child as coloring sheets will be available for them. At least one adult caregiver must attend with the child. This program is limited to 20 children making crafts.
