  • Zane and the Hurricane by W. Rodman Philbrick
    This book is called Zane and the Hurricane it is by Rodman Philbrick. The setting of the story is in New Orleans where a young boy, Zane, and his dog, Bandy, visit their only relative besides there mother. Zane’s dad died when he was very young. He said an old gummpy with a stroke ran him over, and ever since then, Zane and his mom thought they had no other family members. I think this book was a good read because it had some real things in it like the hurricane, but then the book also had Bandy and Zane who are fiction characters. One thing I did not like about the book is how Zane was just like his dad; in the wrong place, at the wrong time. ...
