  • Take Back The Skies by Lucy Saxon
Though this has the makings of a great idea, this book fell short for me in a few ways. I liked the characters, but often felt I was blatantly being told what they thought, rather than their dialogue and actions conveying it. I think Lucy Saxon will grow as a writer as time passes, so I will keep reading the series to see....

  • Momentum by Saci Lloyd
This book is staged in a plausible scenario of the future; however, the plot seemed repetitive and was not my favorite. I was also very confused through the first chapters, as the writer repetetively uses a symbol as the name of a virtual reality machine most of the world is linked to. He does not explain this, and it confused me until I was far into the book. This book has a good setting and decent plot, but I did not like it very much. ...

This book truly questions the importance of happiness, bravery, and love. Also, there is another handsome guy named Four, but only in Spanish....

  • Boys, Girls, & Other Hazardous Materials by Rosalind Wiseman
Honestly, when I first saw the cover of this book, I thought it would be one of those predictable middle-school books with boring middle-school problems no one wants to read about. But thanks to the saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover," I decided to try this book! And what do you know, I was judging this book completely wrong. Although I was right about the book having "middle school problems," the problems were very interesting to read about and actually taught me a bunch of lessons, such as not all adults are the same and can actually help you. Overall, I really enjoyed this book, but the only thing I didn't like was that there were too many characters which made the book hard to understand. "Boys, Girls, & Other Hazardous Materials" is a very unique book, showing the struggle of this generation!...

  • My Brother's Shadow by Monika Schroder
This book is kinda sad. It was very good, but it was a bit boring. It's because it's not my type of book. The author was very good at writing though! It was also a touching book....

  • Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers
This book is very suspenseful and very surprising. This is not your typical mean girl story. I loved this book because it's very unique. This book showed me what a popular girl's life is. The author is very creative....
