Create a free website or easily build a blog on WordPress.com, a content management system which offers hundreds of free, customizable, mobile-ready designs and themes with free hosting and support. No registration required. Program is limited to the first 12 participants.
Photography At Naper Settlement (NIC)Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 10:00 AM -- Nichols Library
Using Naper Settlement as inspiration, shutterbugs can take photos of historical reenactments and buildings. The group, which will first meet at Nichols Library's NaperLaunch space, will learn tips on taking professional photos in different lighting conditions with a DSLR camera. Participants then will walk to the settlement to practice their photo skills. Photographers also will have the opportunity to submit their photos for a competition and to display online.
This program is presented in partnership with Naper Settlement.
Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 24 participants.

Learn how to design a three-dimensional object using Tinkercad software and understand the process of printing it using the library's 3-D printer.
For children in 3rd through 5th grades.

Get ready for a day of high-energy, hands-on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics workshops. This free event is geared toward students who are looking into future careers in these areas as well as those who just love STEAM programming or want to learn more. Workshops are led by area volunteers from local businesses and organizations.

Video Equipment Made Easy (95th)Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 6:30 PM -- 95th Street Library
Aspiring videographers can learn the best methods and techniques for using the library?'s high-definition video camera, tripod, lavalier microphone and green screen to make videos or commercials. No registration required. Program is limited to the first 12 participants.
Thursday, Sept. 24 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.
(1)Classes are appropriate for adults and students in 8th grade or older and are limited to 12 participants.
(2) Registrations for these classes are taken at the computer lab desks. The fee for these classes is:
Naperville Public Library card holders: $10
Non-Naperville Public Library card holders: $20
(3)Participants can transfer to another class with one week's advance notice. If individuals cannot attend a class for any reason, they should inform the computer lab staff so the spot may be available to an individual on the waiting list.
(4) The computer and technology classes have a non-refundable, non-transferable attendance fee for each class that must be paid at the time of registration.
