Family Storytime (NBL)

This 30-minute program of stories, songs and other activities is for children of all ages. In addition, staff members will present strategies to enhance early learning opportunities at home. At least one parent or adult caregiver is required to accompany children to these fun-filled programs.

Read2gether (NBL)

Students entering kindergarten through 5th grade can practice reading, listening to and discussing books in a fun and relaxed atmosphere with a teen volunteer this summer. Depending on attendance, readers may be placed in a group. Children may bring a book or choose one from the library. All participants must be independent readers. Those arriving more than 10 minutes late cannot be guaranteed placement with a partner.


Intro To Python For Teens

This is an introduction to Python, a general-purpose, object-oriented computer language used for standalone projects or scripting applications. *Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 12 participants.

English conversation groups for ESL students (NBL)

Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 10:00 AM -- Naper Blvd. Library
These groups are designed to give English-as-a-second-language students a change to practice their skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment. All adult learners can attend the free groups, and one does not have to attend every session. No registration is required.

*'Doctor Who' Fandom Afternoon (NBL)

Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 1:30 PM -- Naper Blvd. Library
Celebrate everything "Doctor Who" with the library! Teens, who can dress in costume, can enjoy a variety of Whovian activities and even take a photo next to the library's TARDIS! *Program requires advanced registration and is limited to 20 teen participants. For Teens in 6th through 12th grades.

The Power Of Play (NBL)

Adult and child interactive play is critical to language development. Caregivers are invited to the library to play with their child at stations of fun and games, including manipulates, board games and puzzles, as well as items for imaginative play and gross motor activity. For infants through 5th grade with a caregiver. This is a drop-in program with a room limit of 30.
