NaperLaunch Meetup: The Pitch Session

Want to practice your pitch? This is your opportunity to participate in a pitch session by making a 10 minute pitch or observing others and offering feedback. Pitchers can choose from three optional pitch formats: 

  • Request funding for growth of your business
  • Pitch for a partner to join your business
  • Make a sales pitch for your product or service

The Pitch session is held when there is a 5th Thursday in the month. Next sessions: June 30 and Sept. 29.
No registration needed to observe and give feedback at this meet up.

Genealogy: Drop-In Help (NIC)

A volunteer from the Fox Valley Genealogical Society will be available in the adult services department to help any interested individuals who wish to obtain assistance either to get started on a genealogy project or to complete difficult genealogical research challenges.

Riverwalk Storytimes

Tuesday, July 05, 2016 at 7:00 PM -- Nichols Library
Staff will present this popular Riverwalk program, which will include stories, songs and a puppet show. Participants can bring a meal or snack. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be canceled. (The Wednesday lunchtime program will be a repeat of the Tuesday evening program.) These programs are presented in partnership with Naperville Park District.

Baby Play Date (NIC)

Babies learn through play! Adults and infants can enjoy stories, songs and bounces, followed by 10 minutes of exploratory play with their new friends. For infants through 23-month-olds and their caregivers.

Greg's experience covers a diverse range of companies including frozen foods, juice drinks, steel foundries, steel fabricators, electrical contracting, parts manufacturers, pottery and a psychiatric clinic. Greg will discuss how to pitch for a strategic partner.

Book & Cookie Club (NIC)

A Tale Dark & Grimm by Adam Gidwitz
Visit the library for a child-and-parent book discussion group. The child and parent/adult will read the selected book together and then attend the club's meeting to discuss it with others while enjoying a cookie or two. Each book will be chosen at the preceding meeting and listed on the library's website, www.naperville-lib.org. The library will have multiple copies of each title available for checkout. For children in 3rd through 5th grades. Program is limited to 15 child/parent pairs.
