These groups are designed to give English-as-a-second-language students a change to practice their skills in a relaxed and comfortable environment. All adult learners can attend the free groups, and one does not have to attend every session. No registration is required.

Google Classroom

This is an introduction to Google Classroom, a blended learning platform for schools that aim to simplify creating, distributing and grading assignments in a paperless way. Indian Prairie School District 204 and library staff collaborated to develop the content for this session.

Add borders, pictures, clip art and neat effects to Word documents. Create bulleted and numbered lists, insert page numbers as well as other headers and footers. *Program requires advanced registration with a fee and is limited to 12 participants. 

The computer and technology classes have a non-refundable, non-transferable attendance fee for each class that must be paid at the time of registration. Classes are appropriate for adults and students in 8th grade or older and are limited to 12 participants. Registrations for these classes are taken at the computer lab desks.

The fee for these classes is:

Naperville Public Library card holders: $10

Non-Naperville Public Library card holders: $20

Participants can transfer to another class with one week's advance notice. If individuals cannot attend a class for any reason, they should inform the computer lab staff so the spot may be available to an individual on the waiting list.

As director of international sales for Time Life Books, Helmuth traveled to over a hundred countries giving him an opportunity to present on some of his most exciting journeys. See the charms of Copacabana Beach, take a breathtaking cable car ride up Sugarloaf Mountain to get an incredible view of the city, including Christ the Redeemer Statue. Finally travel to see the spectacular Iguazu Water Falls whose river flows over the amazing Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam.
