Featured Event: Droid Builders' Maker Open House

Saturday, October 1 -- 95th Street Library -- 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Stop by 95th Street Library on October 1 for our big event: Droid Builders' Maker Open House. Join members of the Astromech Building Club to see droids in person and talk with their builders! Meet Star Wars™ fans who have taken the time to recreate some of the most iconic characters from the Star Wars Universe.

Thanks to the 501st Rebel Legion and Mandalorian Merc costuming club, there will also be opportunities to see some of your favorite characters, including stormtroopers, rebel pilots, R2-D2, and BB-8!

Craft Kits - ChildrenStar Wars™-inspired children's craft samples made from construction paper, paper plates, and more.

Young Padawans can create a fun Star Wars-inspired craft. Kits are available for pickup at the Children’s Services Desk at each building through October 31, while supplies last. All materials are pre-cut and included in the kit, along with printed instructions. 

Kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Type of crafts available within the Crafts Kits may vary. 

Craft Kits - Adult & Teen

Stop by one of the Adult & Teens Services Desks to pick up a Star Wars Reads Craft Kit for adults and teens. There will be a total of 4 Star Wars Reads Craft Kits throughout the month of October. Each kit will contain 2 crafts. Kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last and are appropriate for ages 11 years and older.

The Readers' Resistance Voting - Adult & Teen

Help us determine the most Force-filled Star Wars book in the galaxy by voting for your favorite in our book bracket. Star Wars titles will go head-to-head, with the winners of each week moving on in the tournament. Votes can be cast at the Cantonica* during each round. The Last Jedi (winning title) will be announced October 31. Which book will emerge triumphant? Cast your vote in each matchup!
